Removal and generator installation

The car is equipped with the generator of an alternating current. Depending on model and the equipment the car can be equipped with generators of various capacity.

If late on the car electric consumers of high capacity are established, it is necessary to check, whether the capacity of the established generator is sufficient. If necessary, it is possible to establish more powerful generator.

The alternating current developed by the generator becomes straight in constant for what the diode rectifier serves. The charging of the storage battery occurs a direct current. The regulator of tension operates size of a charging current so that irrespective of number of turns of the engine tension remains equal 14 Century.

Generators are available on sale as exchange devices. Cost of the damaged generator is set off upon purchase new or repaired.

At work with electric equipment in an impellent compartment surely disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery.

Thereof records of electronic blocks of memory, such as, data in memory of malfunctions of the engine are erased. Before shutdown of the battery familiarize, please, with indications of the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

    Do not disconnect the storage battery or a tension regulator at the working engine. Do not remove the generator at the attached storage battery. At carrying out electrowelding works surely disconnect the storage battery.

4-cylinder petrol engine

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

    Remove the top cover of the engine, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Remove the bottom cover of the engine, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Merge cooling liquid from a radiator, address to the Section Replacement of cooling liquid. Release a collar and remove a hose of cooling liquid from a radiator branch pipe, over the generator. Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove the control unit over the radiator fan, put it aside. Weaken maple a belt and remove it from a generator pulley, address to the Section Removal and installation of a belt of a drive of auxiliary units.
    Depending on model of the car disunite the generator socket with (1) to (3).
    Turn out 4 screws of fastening (shooters) above and below and remove the generator from the engine. Disconnect a plug wire 30/in + from the generator.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Fix a plug wire 30/in + the moment 16Нм and the generator to the engine the moment 23Нм. Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal. After installation start the engine and check work of a maple belt.

4-cylinder diesel engine

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

    Remove the top cover of the engine, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Weaken maple a belt and remove it from a generator pulley, address to the Section Removal and installation of a belt of a drive of auxiliary units.
    Holding a pulley of a drive of the fan with the vyazkostny coupling a special key 3212 or KLANN KL-0149-131 from a provorachivaniye, unscrew it a face key.
    Remove a krylchatka and put it in a fan casing. Disunite the socket of the generator and disconnect a plug wire 30/in + from the generator.
    Turn out two bolts of fastening (shooters) and remove the generator from the engine.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Fix the generator on the engine the moment 25Нм. Fix a plug 30 wire / + the moment 16Нм. Fix the fan with the vyazkostny coupling on the bearing the moment 45Нм. Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal. After installation start the engine and check work of a maple belt.

6-cylinder petrol engine

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

    Remove the top cover of the engine, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Remove forward the bottom cover of the engine, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Weaken a tension of a maple belt and remove it from a generator pulley, address to the Section Removal and installation of a belt of a drive of auxiliary units. Cut a collar of fastening of a cable and release a starter cable from the holder. Automatic transmission: Disconnect the holder of pipelines of liquid for AT. Disunite the socket of the generator and disconnect the plug 30/in + from the generator.
    Turn out two screws of fastening (an arrow on an accompanying illustration) and remove the generator from the engine.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Fix the generator the moment 22Нм (M8 screw) or 45Нм (M10 screw) on the engine. Fix a plug wire 30/in + the moment 16Нм. Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal. After installation start the engine and check work of a maple belt.

6-cylinder diesel engine

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

    Remove the top cover of the engine, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Remove the bottom cover of the engine forward, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Establish the forward panel in the provision of service, address to the Section Installation of the forward panel in situation for maintenance.
    Disconnect the fan with the vyazkostny coupling.
    Disconnect a cover of a gear belt ahead at the left and on the right. Disconnect a cover of a maple belt, pay attention thus to the remote plug. Remove maple a belt, address to the Section Removal and installation of a belt of a drive of auxiliary units. Disunite the socket of the generator and disconnect a plug wire 30/in + from the generator.
    Unscrew bolts of fastening (1) and (2) and disunite the socket of a hydrosupport of the engine.
    Remove the generator from the engine and take out it down.

Thus carefully take aside pipelines of cooling liquid.

Installation

    Fix the generator on the engine the moment 25Нм. Fix a plug 30 wire / + the moment 16Нм. Fix the fan with the vyazkostny coupling on the bearing the moment 45Нм. Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal. After installation start the engine and check work of a maple belt.
