Keep in mind that data are provided for electrolit temperature 15°С. At increase in temperature at everyone 10°С it is necessary to add on 0.007, at similar reduction — to read on 0.007.

Storage batteries of all types

Start the engine and check tension.

At the moment of engine start at completely charged batteries tension should not fall below 10 In (at electrolit temperature near +20°С).

Charging

The sequence of actions given below can differ from recommended by the producer of the accumulator established on the car. In this case use recommendations of the producer.

The ordinary and low-served storage battery

To charge the battery follows a current equal of 10 % from capacity (for example if the capacity of the battery makes 45 Ach to charge it follows a current of 4.5 Amperes) until within 4 hours the electrolit density in banks will not increase.

On the other hand, the automatic charger with a current about 1.5 amperes can be left included on all night long.

Accelerated chargers of type which, allegedly, can charge completely the accumulator in a couple of hours, it is not recommended use, as at big currents of a plate of the battery can overheat and collapse.

At a charging of the battery watch, that the temperature of electrolit did not exceed 37.8°С.

Charging of the unattended battery

For a full charging of the battery of this type bigger time, than for a charging low-served or usual is required. Duration of a charging depends on degree of a razryazhennost and can borrow about three days.

The tension developed by the charger, should lie in a range 13.9 - 14.9 Volts, the current should not exceed 25 Amperes. Under existing conditions the battery can be used in 3 hours, tension on plugs should be about 12.5 Volts. Achievement of a full charging will take longer time.
