Removal and starter installation

The electric motor called by a starter is necessary for start of an internal combustion engine. That the engine of the car earned, not less than 300 rpm are necessary to untwist it till the speed. It is possible for reaching, if the starter reliably works and the storage battery is charged.

As start of the engine needs big electricity consumption, at carrying out maintenance it is necessary to pay attention to reliable connection of cables. The contacts having a rust, it is necessary to smooth out and grease with konsistentny greasing.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

    Remove the bottom cover of the engine forward, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Diesel engine: Remove the bottom cover of the engine back, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher.
    Disconnect a plug B wire + (2) from a starter.
    Disunite the plug 50 (1) socket. If necessary, remove an insulator on a positive conclusion of a starter. Disconnect a collar (4) cables. Petrol engine: Disconnect the holder (3).
    Turn out bolts (1) and (2) and take out a starter forward.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Fix a starter the moment 45Нм (M10 screw) or 65Нм (M12 screw) on a check point. Fix a plug B wire + the moment 16Нм on a starter. Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal.

6-cylinder engine

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery.

Observe indications of the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

    Remove the bottom cover of the engine forward, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Diesel engine: Remove the bottom cover of the engine back, address to the Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Remove the generator, address to the Section Removal and generator installation.

The instruction on security measures

Operation of lifting and car installation on supports is connected with danger! Therefore before carrying out operation familiarize with Poddomkrachivaniye's Section and towage.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel. Lift and establish on supports the car and remove the right forward wheel.
    Turn out bolts (arrows on an accompanying illustration) and disconnect the heat-shielding screen of a power shaft.
    Disconnect a wire for the plug B + (2) from a starter).
    Disunite the plug 50 (1) socket. Remove the heat-shielding screen (3) traction relays. Turn out bolts (shooters) and remove a starter.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Fix a starter the moment 45Нм on a check point. Fix a plug B wire + the moment 16Нм on a starter. Fix bolts the heat-shielding screen of a power shaft the moment 23Нм. Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal.
