Removal and installation of the switch of a stoplight

The switch of a stoplight is in a pedal support. By pressing of a pedal of a brake by means of the switch the stoplight lights up. Besides, the switch of a stoplight serves as the sensor for the ABS/EDS control unit. Therefore the correct work and adjustment of the switch of a stoplight has special value.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

The switch of a stoplight can be established only once. After removal it is necessary to replace it.

    Remove a pocket from the driver, address to the Section Removal and pocket installation from the driver.
    Compress the tip (2) in the direction of an arrow and disunite connection.
    Turn the stoplight switch on 45 ° to the left and by that release it. Take out the stoplight switch.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    At the new switch of a stoplight completely take out a pusher (the shooter on an accompanying illustration).

In an installation time do not press a brake pedal.

    Insert the switch the lock levels (1) and (2) into grooves of a support of a pedal and fix, having turned to the right on 45 °. Position of the switch should be reliable. At switch installation the pusher itself occupies the correct situation.
    Fix the tip of the switch of a stoplight, check operation of the switch.
    Establish into place a pocket from the driver, address to the Section Removal and pocket installation from the driver.
