Check of thickness of a brake disk

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Mark with an arrow the direction of rotation of a wheel. Unscrew bolts of fastening of wheels. Lift and establish the car on supports.
    Measure thickness of a brake disk surely in the thinnest place (an arrow on an accompanying illustration). On HUNDRED for this purpose there is a special calliper or a micrometric bracket since wear of a disk has an edge. It is possible to measure thickness of a disk by means of a usual calliper. In this case on each party of a brake disk it is necessary to put laying of a certain thickness (for example, a small coin). In this case it is necessary to subtract thickness of two coins from the received result of measurement.

It is necessary to make measurement in several points of a brake disk.

    The sizes of a brake disk are specified in Specifications.
    If a limit of wear of a disk will reach, it is necessary to replace surely both disks of one axis.
    In the presence of big cracks or flutes, a brake disk it is necessary to replace more than 0.5 mm with depth.
    Observing the rotation direction, establish a wheel and fix it. Lower the car on wheels and only after that tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel cross-wise the moment 120Нм.
