1.6 l (ALZ): The engine ryadny, with one verkhneraspolozhenny cam-shaft (OHC). The camshaft is located in a head of cylinders and is actuated by a gear belt. The shaft affects the hydraulic pushers located vertically which in turn influence inlet and final valves.

One camshaft actuates inlet valves, another final. The camshaft of final valves is actuated from a cranked shaft through a gear belt. Camshafts of inlet and final valves are connected with each other by a chain.
