4-cylinder petrol engines General information 1.6 l (ALZ): The engine ryadny, with one verkhneraspolozhenny cam-shaft (OHC). The camshaft is located in a head of cylinders and is actuated by a gear belt. The shaft affects the hydraulic pushers located vertically which in turn influence inlet and final valves. 1.8 and 2.0 l (AVJ, BFB, ALT): The engine ryadny, with two verkhneraspolozhenny cam-shafts (DOHC), has for each cylinder three of inlet and two final valves. One camshaft actuates inlet valves, another final. The camshaft of final valves is actuated from a cranked shaft through a gear belt. Camshafts of inlet and final valves are connected with each other by a chain. 2.0 FSI (AWA) l: The engine ryadny, with two verkhneraspolozhenny cam-shafts (DOHC), has for each cylinder on two inlet and final valves.
