6-and 8-cylinder petrol engines Main data L DOHC 2.4, 3.0, 4.2 engines - V-shaped, with a corner of an arrangement of cylinders 90 °, respectively on 3 and 4 cylinders in a row. Such engines are designated by V6 and V8.Engines have three inlet and two final valves on the cylinder. Each number of cylinders of the engine has on 2 camshafts. At the V6 engine camshafts of final valves are actuated by a gear belt, camshafts of inlet valves are actuated by a chain from camshafts of final valves. At the V8 engine four camshafts, also as well as auxiliary units, are actuated by several chains. Driving chains are located from a flywheel (the check point party).
