Removal and installation of an amortization rack

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Mark on the tire the direction of rotation of a wheel. Weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel. Lift and establish the car on supports and remove wheels.

Surely observe instructions in the Section In case of emergency.

    Fix a brake disk one bolt of fastening of a wheel.

At cars with adjustment of range of light before removal of the left amortization rack weaken fastening of a connecting bar of the sensor of level of the car for what open a lock bracket of the bearing lever.

    Disconnect an electric wire of ABS from the holder on a support. Remove a support and fix it on a suspension bracket so that the weight of a support did not render impact on a brake hose and the brake pipeline, address to the Section Removal and installation of a brake disk/support.
    Remove by means of flat-nose pliers a clip (1). The clip should not to be established any more.
    Unscrew a nut (2), take out a bolt and take out upward both levers of a suspension bracket.

Do not expand a groove in the case of the bearing of a wheel with a chisel or the tool similar to it.

    Protect a casing of steering draft a cover (1) from damage. HUNDRED AUDIS apply for this purpose a protective  cover No. 893 512 137.
    It is necessary to cut out a strip in the size A from a protective cover = 20-25 mm. Carefully remove facets from sharp surfaces. Cover cut at installation should look down. Bring a garage jack under a rotary support, having enclosed wooden laying so that the suspension bracket after a detachment of an amortization rack it fell not too low. Otherwise hinges of the bottom levers can be damaged
    Turn out a bolt (the shooter on an accompanying illustration) and cast away aside the case of the bearing of a wheel.
    Weaken fastening of the tank of a broad tank of cooling liquid. Uncover a water modular compartment.
    Uncover (an arrow on an accompanying illustration) a bolt.
    Turn out bolts (1) in a water modular compartment.
    Take out an amortization rack with a support.

Thus watch to damaging a protective cover.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Insert an amortization rack with the support case into a support. Tighten a bolt of fastening (1).

Watch the correct provision of washers.

    Rezinometallichesky support have a limited range of twisting. Therefore boltovy connections on levers tighten when the car costs on wheels.
    Insert a tip of an amortization rack into the suspension bracket lever, slightly tighten a new nut of connection (1). After car lowering on wheels tighten a nut the moment 90Нм.

The bolt is necessary for inserting against the movement direction.

    Insert both top levers. Press on pins of levers down as far as it probably and tighten a new nut (2) moment 40Нм.
    Remove from a cover a protective cover. Insert in the holder on a support an electric wire of ABS. Establish to the place of a brake disk, fix a support, address to the Section Removal and installation of a brake disk/support.

At cars with adjustment of range of light the connecting bar of the sensor of level of the car should be established on the bearing lever.

    Fix wheels, observing the direction of their rotation, lower the car on wheels. Only after that tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the moment 120Нм. Tighten bolts of fastening of an amortization rack in the lower part the moment 90Нм at the car standing on the earth.

Models with support NR-2

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Turn out a bolt (2) and remove the holder of the brake pipeline.
    Unscrew bolts (1) fastening and remove a support. Again establish into place the holder of the brake pipeline. Screw and tighten a bolt (2). Fix a support on a suspension bracket a wire so that the weight of a support did not lead to deformation and by that to pipeline damage.
